Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026. These are the plain-language terms for using xlogs. By using xlogs you agree to them. This is not legal advice.

The short version

  • xlogs is a free, read-only security scanner for web apps.
  • Only scan live apps and sites you own or have explicit permission to test.
  • You may check any PUBLIC code repository, because reading public code is not scanning someone else's system.
  • Results are provided as is, may be incomplete, and are not a guarantee that your app is secure.

What xlogs does

xlogs runs deterministic, read-only checks against a URL you provide and returns the issues it finds along with suggested fixes. It makes the same kind of requests a normal visitor's browser makes. It does not attempt to exploit, modify, or damage anything.

Scan only what you are allowed to

This section is about the LIVE scanner, which sends requests to a running system. You may only scan applications and websites that you own or that you have clear, authorized permission to test. You are responsible for having that permission. Do not use xlogs to scan third-party systems without authorization, to probe for unlawful purposes, or in any way that violates applicable law or another party's rights.

No warranty and disclaimer

xlogs is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. A clean result does not mean your app is fully secure, and findings may include false positives or miss issues xlogs does not check for. xlogs is a helpful tool, not a certification, audit, or professional security advice. Decisions about your app remain yours.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xlogs and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any decision you make based on a scan result.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or abuse the service, and do not use it to harm others. We may limit or block use that threatens the reliability or safety of xlogs or its users.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions can be sent to hello@xlogs.com.
